About the event
You are invited into a brave, intentional space created for Black Femmes ages 16 to 106 across class, ancestry, belief, ability, sexuality, size, complexion, education, and lived experience. This gathering is a continuation of a relationships that has been nurtured over time through genuine care, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to honoring one another as we are and as we move through the world. Together, we root ourselves in alignment, liberation, and the possibility of true partnership. This experience offers an opportunity to explore ancestral and contemporary wisdom of Black Liturgies through introspection and in conversation with Mieka, Aurora and Tonii. We will gather for a thoughtfully prepared, vegan meal by Chef Tonii, inspired by the offerings of Black Liturgies.
Black Liturgies is wisdom from the ancestors, letters from the author, Cole Arthur Riley, poems, prayers and breathwork. It offers confessions, forgiveness, benedictions, and things to contemplate.
